What to Pack:
Food:
We recommend bringing your pet's food from home. Please bring daily rations in a resealable, disposable bag.
Medications:
We can administer oral or topical medications to your pet, but not injections. Please call or email us with clear instructions regarding medication before your arrival. There is an additional $5 charge per day.
Bedding:
We suggest sending blankets or similar bedding to make your pet feel at home.
Food and Water Bowls:
You do not need to bring food or water bowls! We provide freshly washed stainless steel dishes daily. If you need a slow feeder or elevated feeder, you may also bring those.
Vaccinations:
Your pet’s health and safety is our #1 concern. Prior to a pet’s arrival, Pets Tribe must have a formal vaccination record from a licensed veterinarian indicating that your pet is up-to-date on the following vaccinations:
- Rabies.
- Distemper.
- Bordetella.
- Both H3N2 & H3N8 Strains of Canine Influenza*

General Health:
All pets must be in good general health to visit Pets Tribe. Will not accept diabetic pets, pets exhibiting signs of serious illness, pets with contagious viruses or parasites, or any pet we feel may need veterinary care or supervision. Pets Tribe is not staffed for skilled veterinary care; and Pets Tribe may not be able to handle geriatric pets or other pets needing significant or special care. For their own safety, Pets Tribe will not accept pets in heat.
Flea and Tick Prevention:
All pets will be checked thoroughly for fleas and ticks. If any are found, that pet will be treated immediately, at the owner’s expense, before being allowed to enter the lodging area.
Policy:
Leash Policy: For the safety of our guests and their pets, all dogs must be leashed and under control anywhere on Pets Tribe property with public access.
Deposit/Cancellation Policy: A deposit equal to two nights’ accommodations is required at the selected accommodation on weekends and holidays. Guests who cancel within 7 days of their arrival date or fail to show up for their reservation will forfeit this deposit. No penalties apply for canceling or changing a reservation (subject to availability) with 7 days’ notice.
For any reduction in the length of a reservation that affects a major holiday (New Year’s Eve, Spring Break, Memorial Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving, or Christmas Day) within 7 days of the reservation’s start date, a penalty equal to two nights’ accommodations or the number of reduced nights, whichever is less, will be applied.
Behavioral Issues: Pets with signs or a history of aggressive behavior will not be accepted.
Minimum Age: Pets under 14 weeks of age will not be accepted for boarding or daycare.
During the off-season, no deposit is required. Guests who repeatedly cancel reservations (with or without 7 days’ notice) may be required to pay a non-refundable deposit equal to 2 days’ accommodation for each future reservation.
